Growing company that has been in business for over 35-years has an outstanding opportunity available for a Chemical Plant Director. As Chemical Plant Director, your work will directly impact the growth and success of the manufacturing facility. You will have overall responsibilities for safety, production, quality, logistics, maintenance, and financials. The Chemical Plant Director will collaborate with departmental managers, the Brand President, and members of the executive team to work within budget and developed business plans while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. Additionally, you will have responsibility for overseeing truck upfitting, including monitoring build inventory, parts and equipment needs. You will possess proven leadership skills, as well as a strong ability to solve problems and make sound decisions that encourage growth.
Key Position Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership over the production of our proprietary liquid components, cost control management, brand protection and support, safety and compliance, inventory and logistics.
- Work with our Production Manager to increase production and assets capacity while maintaining current quality standards.
- Responsible for meeting corporate expectations and goals in terms of meeting the plant’s profit targets, expenditures, cost containment, manufacturing/plant engineering improvements, environmental/health/safety goals, and quality enhancements, while maintaining operational cost effectiveness.
- Oversees samples, tests, and recording process streams as required by the QA program and procedures.
- Conduct activities to comply with plant safety and environmental policies, to meet Quality Control requirements and to meet business demand.
- Monitor and understands inhibitors and environmental changes and works to refine our product while maintaining quality.
- Assist with preparations for day shift maintenance activities.
- Responsible for overall facility, general plant machinery, and property maintenance between 2 locations, ensuring properties consistently meet standards.
- Conduct area housekeeping to meet plant standards. Safeguard the area of responsibility and improve housekeeping practices.
- Evaluate safety, environmental and quality policies and suggest modifications as necessary.
- Follow plant EHS, EPA, OSHA policies as well as DOT regulations.
- Provide suggestions for area operational improvement.
- Participate in safety, health and environmental programs.
