Job Description

Fast growing company in Massachusetts has an excellent opportunity available for a Tooling Engineer.  This individual will provide expertise in regards to tooling fabrication, and capability along with assisting in the NPI release process. 




  • Work as a technical expert to assist in the design, fabrication, and qualification of new injection molding tooling.
  • Provide input to plastic part design and plastic resin selection.
  • Provide process rigor during FOT, SAT and in process checks – review and analyze data.
  • Mold Flow Analysis:  perform Mold Flow Analysis to optimize part/tool design and confirm quoted cycle times.
  • Travel to key vendors for tool qualification and factory audits.
  • Assist with plastic part design for new and existing products.
  • Help identify and execute on product and process improvements.
  • Help identify and vet potential new vendors.


Job Requirements

  •          Must be a team player that has a positive attitude.
  •          At least 2-years of injection molding experience.
  •          Experience with high cavitation packaging tooling a plus.
  •          Strong DFM and DFA understanding.
  •          Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Plastics Engineering preferred.
  •          Strong experience with injection mold tooling design and process.
  •          Strong data analytics and statistics understanding.
  •          Ability to travel domestically and abroad as needed.
  •          Experience with thermoplastics, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, polyethylene or polypropylene would be a plus.
