Function:
Essential Functions of Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Production start of new products/new series.
- Support of workers during series production as well as active cooperation, if required.
- Management of quality standards as well as resolving quality issues.
- Quick fixes of machine problems.
- Maintenance, change over.
- Continuous Improvement of production process.
- Organization of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Production planning – ensure all work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner and daily production goals are met.
- To ensure that his team works safely; he will be expected to set the safety example and to enforce the safety guidelines throughout the shifts.
- Ensures work order accuracy and materials management.
- Attendance and punctuality to each shift.
- Carrying out company policy and issue corrective actions to supervised employees if needed.
- Enforcing operating instructions and safety policies.
- Resolving routine equipment issues.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with plastics thermoforming is a must.
- Hands-on and results oriented.
- Qualification as process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office/Outlook.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
