Job Description

A leader in the design and fabrication of precision metal products serving growing industries worldwide has an urgent need for a Plant Manager.  The Plant Manager, who reports to the Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations to ensure that the methods and procedures used utilize workers and equipment in a safe, cost-effective manner while ensuring on time delivery of quality parts to our customers.




  •               Contribute to the overall success of the company by supporting company goals, establishing plant-wide best practices and promoting a continuous improvement culture
  •               Responsible for the safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, accuracy and housekeeping of all production operations
  •               Provide plant-wide leadership by setting an example of teamwork, accountability and continuous learning
  •               Accountable to meet forecasted goals related to production and ensure continual on time delivery to our customers; promptly alerting appropriate departments and upper management as needed
  •               Utilize company software programs to keep alert of production issues or trends and seek methods for process improvements
  •               Hold Manufacturing Managers and Department Supervisors accountable for their team’s output and challenge them to improve methods for equipment efficiency, cost reduction, productivity improvements and elimination of product defects
  •               Responsible to establish plant safety initiatives and reduce annual NCCI rating by acting as Head of Safety Committee
  •               Work closely with operational excellence, quality and materials departments to support lean initiative, product compliance and customer delivery expectations
  •               Responsible for the overall upkeep of the Plant and ensuring equipment is being properly maintained and repaired
  •               Evaluate equipment and procedures for improvement opportunities
  •               Responsible for personnel tasks of direct reports including time off approval, performance appraisals, discipline, promotions or transfers and facilitating resolutions to work related issues or concerns; escalating to Human Resources when appropriate
  •               Suggest increases, training, transfers, or disciplinary actions for workers after obtaining performance feedback from Supervisors
  •               Follow all safety procedures and wear safety equipment or apparel as required
  •               Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards
  •               Use office equipment including but not limited to: copier, scanner, computer, printers, and telephone/paging system
  •               May be required to follow other job-related instructions and duties as requested, subject to applicable state and federal laws.


Job Requirements




  •               Minimum 10 years of management experience in a metal manufacturing, OEM or other fabrication facility
  •               Proven history of creating a culture of accountability and leading by example
  •               Proficiency in using ERP systems for scheduling and reporting (Epicor a strong plus)
  •               Exceptional time management skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines




  •         Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  •         Engineering background
  •         Experience with Lean, Kanban and GMPs




  •               Exert 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
  •               Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk about the facility to access and move materials and equipment
  •               Ability to communicate with others; accommodation as required to listen to equipment and monitor paging system
