Job Description

An “Industrial - Made to Order” Sales and Distribution Company is seeking a Sales-Support / Customer Service Specialist. You will be responsible for providing internal support to the sales team by assisting with order-entry duties and communicating with customers and vendors.




  • Responsibilities include processing customer orders and purchase orders, assisting with new inquiries, tracking shipments and maintaining reports.
  •       Provide front line communication, order processing and customer service to customers.
  •       Support Sales Staff in various functions, review orders for accuracy, track status of shipments, communicate with suppliers and customers regarding order status.
  •       Create sales orders through ERP system including documentation, tracking, and reporting status throughout production lead times, invoicing and determining shipment arrangements.
  •       Create and RFQ’s to vendors, when needed.
  •       Assist in identifying and ‘vetting’ potential new suppliers.
  •       Identify where improvement is needed in sales practices and make suggestions for improvements.



Job Requirements


  •       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Adobe.
  •       Effective and clear communications skills; ability to communicate in a gracious and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  •       Strong organization skills are important and a pre-requisite for this position.
  •       Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, friendly personality which is necessary to communicate properly with customers, both over the phone and via email.
  •       Self-motivated individual with ability to work efficiently in a small office environment and carry out duties and responsibilities without close supervision
  •       Ability to multi-task through various phases of several different projects at one time and sees them all through to conclusion.
  •       Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  •       High school diploma is required but an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field will be given additional consideration.
