Currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team (both 1^st & 2^nd shift positions available). Communicate with Production Supervisor and other production employees to understand the production schedule for each extruder.  Read the productions board and blend sheets for specific instructions on each blend.  Enforce all company rules and policies.  Train employees.  Monitor quality and fix any issues.  Assign work to on-shift employees.  Report any necessary information to the Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.  Fill out all necessary paperwork correctly and completely.  Operate extruders. Daily housekeeping. Use tools such as forklift, hand tools, compress air wand, broom, shovel, trash hoppers, floor scales, moisture analyzer, ash oven, fiberglass system cranes (line 1 & line 2) and vacuum loaders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs daily housekeeping.
• Maintain positive proactive relationships with internal departments, customers, suppliers or others as appropriate to support the aims of the company for sustained efficiency improvements and long-term growth.
• Maintain a high-standard of health and safety within the company and ensure that all practices support the company’s environmental and health and safety practices including wearing PPE.
• Ensures that all work activities and records comply with company policies, procedures, fundamental processes and standards of practice.

• Thermoplastic compounding and/or extrusion process experience.
• Familiar with engineering grade resins.
• Experience in thermoplastics, polymers, injection molding, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, thermoplastics, polyolefins, polyethylene or polypropylene would be a plus.
• Ability to lift between 20-50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to high temperature items, unpleasant smells, additives including, but not limited to fiberglass, abrasive materials, fluctuating temperatures, stairs.
• Cross-training as available.
