An industry leader in the manufacture of construction and industrial goods for over 100 years has an immediate opening for an SAP Business Process Manager. The purpose of the SAP Business Process Manager’s role will be to manage an IT business process team that will be responsible for the global design, development, configuration, and implementation of solutions for assigned business process areas which enable users to drive desired business results and customer satisfaction. This includes the evaluation of processes to continuously improve and evolve their effectiveness and efficiency to deliver business targets, reducing errors and variability and enabling world class service levels for improved customer satisfaction, operations excellence, and cost efficiencies. Additionally, this role will drive opportunities to automate business processes and system transactions.
The position will be responsible for directing business owners and key stakeholders including but not limited to Global Procurement & Logistics to drive alignment around processes, standardizing across business units and fully utilizing information technology tools to enable process excellence. This requires working with business leadership to develop technical and business skill sets to support the process area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility and accountability for the design, development, and maintenance for business enterprise systems.
Works closely with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to use software technologies to improve business processes and support critical business strategies, promote strategic use of global business platforms (Primarily SAP).
Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual release strategies and implementation plans for process area.
Facilitate monthly, quarterly meetings with business leadership to communicate status and progress and drive process for project prioritization across business units.
Develop and be accountable for annual operating plans with business leaders based on prioritized requirements across all business units balancing IT resources and requirements aligned to business strategy and direction.
Develop and drive a three-to-five-year IT and process strategic plans and roadmap for assigned process area based on business direction.
Lead team of business process analysts who design and configure solutions to enable process excellence including implementation of new functionality and automation.
Manage and mentor resources to develop bench strength to support workload, succession and retention plans.
Foster creativity through collaboration with business teams and other IT process teams by encouraging diversity of opinion, approach and attitude, utilizing external sources when necessary, to develop skills that drive change.
Understand the increasing complexities within the business and customer environments to enable operating dexterity with the delivered solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years applied experience with SAP.
Ideally experience with the following SAP Solutions: Ariba, MM, Purchase to Payment, Transportation Management.
Two years of experience managing an IT team directly or indirectly through large projects.
Proven ability to develop and manage strong customer, supplier and internal relationships including history of developing collaborative relationships.
Demonstrated ability to accomplish key results through influence.
Experience with implementation of SAP.
Excellent budgeting, planning and financial assessment skills.
Demonstrated ability in strategy development.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
