A leader in CNC machined goods has an on-site opportunity available for a Process Engineer. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes. Mus be a Green Card Holder or US Citizen – No sponsorship available.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reads blueprints and job order for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Develops routings, methods and time standards for production job orders.
Designs work holding fixtures for machining, welding and or fabrication.
Confers with tool manufacturing representatives to ensure proper usage of tooling and efficient production methods.
Analyzes drawings, sketches and design data of part to determine fixturing requirements, dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Outlines sequence of operations required to fabricate part.
Creates flat layout geometry from formed drawing views to be used for laser programming.
Organizes and maintains storage of all digital drawing files.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior sheet metal layout experience is mandatory.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Lite, and Solid Works is also required.
