Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design, construction, modification and continued performance improvement of the facilities, equipment and machines. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Design and implement building modifications and new equipment additions; including all legal proceedings such as permit acquisition and modification.
Design and implement equipment installations.
Design and implement modification of current installations.
Design and implement utilities layout and distribution, including plumbing and power.
Solicit bids from and select subcontractors for the above implementations.
Assist Maintenance Manager, Process Engineer, and Production Manager; especially in facilities-related management and problem solving.
Capital investment (CAPEX) system organization and reporting.
Coordination of energy efficiency and sustainability improvement initiates. Organization and reporting of energy consumption data.
Maintain files for engineering projects, subcontractor bids, project budgeting, etc.
Reduce subcontracting costs while maintaining quality through judicious selection.
Assure the on-time and within-budget completion of all projects.
Follow all relevant policies and procedures (Safety, 5S, and ARC policies).
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum five years’ engineering experience.
Negotiation skills.
Familiarity with plastics production.
Technical drawing ability.
Good communication skills required; including active listening and effective speaking.
Team oriented: ability to demonstrate cooperation and support.
