This role is responsible for planning and overseeing the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.
Reports to: Vice President/General Manager
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations
Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations
Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports
Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, warehousing, and logistics to ensure successful production operations
Assists with budget preparation for operations unit
Responsible for plant Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Create culture of accountability
Develop the skills and capabilities of the plant staff
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy and human resources
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area
Promotes good moral and communications among all employees
Ability to follow manager’s instructions/directions as given
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Ensuring daily production needs are being met by employees
Report weekly to Vice President/General Manager regarding factory activities
Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent education and experience
User knowledge of ERP a plus
3 – 5 years of related experience required

Must be able to access and navigate the production facility
Some periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
May involve some repetitive motions such as frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts
Must be able to work in various temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
