An industry leader in CNC machined goods has an on-site opportunity available for a Design Drafter.  The Design Drafter designs new or special products, new development or modifications.  Must be a Green Card Holder or US Citizen – no sponsorship available.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Utilizes computer aided drafting techniques to perform applicable drafting work.
• Makes required calculations to determine and establish acceptable standards of performance, material selection, type of construction, etc.
• Prepares sketches or drawings, set up specifications, and other pertinent design data for layout drawings.
• Performs all necessary investigations pertinent to the design and maintains reference criterion incidental to design.
• Analyzes manufacturing and material costs.
• Develops designs that can be produced economically to maintain or improve E.K. machine’s competitive position.
• Follows up on the construction and testing of projects and assists with analyzing results.
• Performs corrective re-designing when required.
• Assists drafting department personnel in the preparation of layout drawings and detailing.

Other duties as needed.

Five to seven years related experience and/or training and a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience using computer applications, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and drafting software.
