An industry leader in the manufacture of construction and industrial goods for over 100 years has an immediate opening for an ABAP Architect. The ABAP Architect identifies the solutions for warehouse related business processes & logistics execution and system issues enabling positive business operations. The ABAP Architects specific responsibilities include: gathering business requirements, troubleshooting issues, executing configuration, ensuring functional specification development, and managing testing and application problem-solving of SAP warehouse module.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Execute configuration, functional specification development, testing and application support of SAP IM/WM module.
Develop relationships with stakeholders to gain an understanding of business drivers and objectives.
Work with end users to understand issues with warehouse processes and implement solutions to improve user productivity.
Evaluate and ensure system functionality of existing processes and manage, as directed, small to medium size projects, budget, timelines, communications and deliverables.
Understand end to end business processes and integration points. Develop process scenarios and test plans.
Support warehouse applications currently used and enhance them as and when needed.
Create and implement functional design specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
Develop system documentation and assist with end user training as necessary.
Participate in long-range planning, prioritize projects, and conduct productivity analysis.
Collaborate with personnel and management in translating business requirements into applied solutions across manufacturing platforms and technologies.
Work with process teams to implement integrated business solutions and provide solid technical mentorship to IT peers and business personnel.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of SAP or other ERP systems and technologies experience and a minimum of 4 years of experience with manufacturing companies supporting warehouse functions.
Thorough knowledge of SAP module touch points of business processes.
Function as a business process resource supporting SAP warehouse management/inventory management but would also be familiar with the other SAP manufacturing modules (MM, PE, QM and SD) for cross-functional support
Proven ability to define complex business requirements to determine appropriate SAP solutions.
Thorough user knowledge of SAP and supporting reporting.
Proven ability to identify root causes and develop long-term solutions that support business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to implement best business practices throughout an organization.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Proven project management skills to drive completion of critical deliverables.
Ability to work in a team and project environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
