How to Work With Midland Recruiters

Thank you for your interest in working with Midland Consultants. We are an excellent resource as you search for your next career move.  In order to provide the best service to you, below is a guide to working most effectively with us!

  1. Send us your resume......don't forget to include a cover letter/email indicating what types of positions you are interested in, what area of the country you would like to live in and what your career goals are.  The cover letter is your opportunity to let us know what you want.  If you are responding to a specific position we are currently recruiting on, please indicate the Job Code # as well.

  2. If we called you......talk to us!  No matter how happy you are in your career at the moment, it's okay to speak to us.  If your uncomfortable talking at work, just ask us to call you at home or during lunch and provide us with a number and the best time to contact you.  Even if the position we contacted you about is not for you, let us know what types of positions you might be interested in at a later date.  We will remember you! Perhaps you can refer us to someone else who might be interested in that position - we will remember you for that too!

  3. Be honest!  Never stretch the truth about your past job experience, education, income or other issues.  If your family won't relocate, let us know.  If you are working with other recruiters or are interviewing with other companies, tell us.  Be honest about your level of interest and motivation for making a change.  This will help us find the type of position you want and not waste your time, our clients' time or our time.  At anytime during the process, you feel you are no longer interested in a position we presented to you - tell us and we will remove you from contention.  But please, let us know why, so we can better assess future opportunities on your behalf.

  4. Provide us with feedback.....share with us all that you have learned during the interview.  Who you talked to, what was discussed, how it was left with you at the end of the interview.  If you forgot to mention experience you think will be helpful for the employer to know, tell us and we can get that information to the hiring authority.  If you don't want to pursue the position after interviewing, let us know why.
