Fast growing global company with sales of $350 million dollars is searching for a Manager, Manufacturing Engineer. This position will have four direct reports. This position can be based in New Hampshire or McAllen, TX. Responsible for the management of plant teams in the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of manufacturing engineering projects for both launch and continuous improvement.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manage direct report manufacturing engineering staff in multiple plants.
  • Identify needs and implement development associated decorating and assembly equipment to support product launches and major continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering team members with support, training, and critical review to maximize individual team member’s skills and the full team’s performance.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Manage project budget.
  • Manage project resource allocation.
  • Manage project timelines.
  • Provide direction and support to project management team.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project all stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the proper execution of projects.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.



  • Frequent travel to Reynosa, MX is required – job could require travel up to 70% of the time to support projects.

  • AS or BS in a technical field preferred or equivalent technical work experience.

  • Four years of experience in developing automation and/or decorating equipment preferably in the consumer packaging manufacturing space.

  • Two years direct work experience in a project management capacity.

  • Exposure to injection and/or blow mold development a plus.

  • Proven experience in people management and/or facilitating activities of others.

  • Proficient experience in risk management.

  • Demands accountability and responsibility for self and instills same in direct reports.

  • This job requires work in an office and manufacturing environments and interaction with multiple departments with the company and customers.

  • Hair nets and hearing protection are required with working in production areas.

  • This job requires the ability to occasionally lift parts and supplies up to 50 lbs.
