Growing and successful company in Northeast Ohio is searching for a Plastic Injection Molding Shift Supervisors.  Provide direction and leadership support for manufacturing activities to attain safety, cost, quality and delivery goals.  Manages available resources and lead associates to perform all departmental tasks in the most cost effective manner while ensuring a quality product is processed according to the company operations plan.


Essential Functions:  Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:


·         Read and maintain a working knowledge of Quality Procedures and Work Instructions

·         Work closely with Plant Manager to determine production requirements

·         Plan daily production activities per the production schedule

·         Prioritize automated and manual operations

·         Communicate two week window of production staffing needs to HR

·         Identify and prioritize set-up/start-up activities.  Communicate requirements to

Technical Group

·         Establish and oversee work assignments for production personnel

·         Enforce Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, and Work Instructions

·         Perform process checks and address as needed

·         Verify production count and report shift production via IQMS

·         Report any change in job status or procedures to all necessary personnel

·         Communicate status of all jobs/machines to next Shift Supervisor

·         Maintain order and cleanliness of the facility

·         Know and understand the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives

·         Manage personnel and issue documentation and disciplinary actions for the shift

·         Monitor quality of product and verify that Operators are trained properly

·         Monitor activities throughout the plant for safety and security compliance

·         Resolve personnel issues or conflicts


  • Supervisory responsibilities:  30-40 direct reports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prefer processing and/or supervising in an injection molding field
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001-2008 standards
  • Able to adapt to schedule changes as necessary
  • Commitment to ongoing training
  • Saturday production; 12 hr. shifts as necessary
  • Ability to pass lift truck program
